iUnBrick 0.9 Beta - Final Stages of coding!

sorry that we didn't post on the blog for that long,
but we've got VERY good news for you!Here we go:
iUnBrick has got a new name:

iFree

thats the new name of the project, we will announce a new blog for this soon,
our new software-unbrick solution will implemented in this,
the new BootFire software will be as well!
The best news is:
The beta for donators,now under the name iFree 1.0 will be out
Before this weekend
Westbaer and me are working 18 hours a day,this night we will be on this
till the morninglight!

We're very sorry but we learned that you should NEVER nail yourself to a release date...
You won't be able to hold it!
Clearly:We missed the date for the SW-Unbrick,
we apologize for this....We're working very hard,believe me!
So here we go:
This is the official announcement for the final beta 0.99,
the last beta before releasing the 1.0 FINAL of iUnBrick!
I've got the updated featurelist,here we go:

• Win/Mac support
• Bootstrap Code
• Full-software-unbrick
• GUI
• Special features like:
• Unlock
• Jailbreak/Activate
• the bootloader you want to use
• eventually a direct pwning!
• Custom-Payload-selection

Most of this features will be available in the CLOSED beta testing of
iUnBrick 0.99 Beta final !
The community to beta-test the tool is a closed circle of donators!

0.9 Beta release for donators tomorrow

Yes,we found a new exploit in the iPhone that seems to allow a software-unbrick!
It will have exactly the same functionality as the hardware-unbrick,but it will be 100% software-based!
If you donated, send us an E-Mail with your paypal-mentioned email-adress!
We will invite and support you! Every donation over 5$ (3€) counts!
Donaters up to 22th of April, 7:00PM EST will be invited to the beta test!

Just run the programm on your mac, follow the instructions, set the testpoints and your iPhone isn't bricked anymore!

Pre-Beta awaited today!

There will be a Pre-Beta Release (or the night from today to tommorrow) with a cool feature I don't to mention this time -
It will be a surprise ;-)
BTW:It will have version number 0.05,we decided not to release 0.02 0.03 and 0.04 because of missing cool features and only small changes!

Hardware brick BUT good news too!

By trying to bring a new version of iUnBrick to (details later)
I (WiNtErCHiLd)bricked an iPhone-.-
Before you start to ask: NO the brick hasn't to anything with iUnBrick.
It's a hardwarebrick. I broke a cablewire inside the iPhone.
It'd be very nice if I could get the money for a new one to test,
a few donations for having enough money to repair it
would be cool too!

The first alpha of iUnBrick - Fixing what Zibri destroyed!
Here's the tutorial :

What you need:

• iPhone 1.1.4 jailbroken installed Term-vt100 (Zibri broken)
• The following package: iUnBrick_alpha_0.01.zip ( http://tinyurl.com/5zk26d )
  
• The tutorial of the HW-Unlock of http://iphone.unlock.no
• Luck^^

It sounds simple: Instead of running ieraser like said in this tutorial,
use the bberaser file from the mentioned package! (Use the secpack file too)
After running,do the testpoint as described in the tutorial above.
If you get stuck at "Waiting...",press ^C and try again!
It only erases the sections of your baseband that are needed for
the testpoint to work with an exploit that bypasses the secpack
validation process!
Good Luck and remember : This will only work for a small part of you, it's a
very raw version of the iUnBrick BBeraser
